The 200 Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training is comprehensive and will teach various asanas, Pranayamas, Kriyas, Mantra Chanting, Yogic Philosophy, Yoga anatomy, Meditation, alignment, and other traditional yoga techniques. The Hatha yoga style prepares your body to achieve an intense meditative state by placing and restoring the equilibrium between the entire body and the mind. Curriculum

Holistic Yoga – You will learn various techniques of Hatha Yoga such as Asana, Pranayama, Mudra, Bandha and Shatkriyas as well as time proven techniques of Raja Yoga, Mantra Yoga and Kriya Yoga. This Yoga and Meditation retreat will incorporate the following training sessions:

  • Dedicated morning traditional Hatha Vinyasa yoga session incorporating Asana (posture), Pranayama (breath-work), Mudra (symbolic hand gestures), Bandha (energy locks) and Mantra chanting.
  • Theory workshop session on Philosophical foundation of yoga, discussion on important branches of yoga such as Raja yoga, Hatha Yoga, Karma Yoga, Gyana Yoga and Bhakti Yoga Discussion on important verses from Patanjali Yoga sutra (an ancient yoga manual) and their efficacy in dealing with challenging situations in life
  • Dedicated theory as well as practical workshop sessions on chosen traditional meditation techniques from system of Raja yoga, Upanishads, Mantra yoga and Veda.
  • Explore active and passive techniques to assist you in achieving meditation.
  • A supplementary session every day incorporating Q/A.

Accommodation

During the course, you will be staying at Rishikesh Yoga Teacher Training Center in Tapovan Nishant Garden Resort. The school is situated in the heart of the Rishikesh, next to the famous hanging bridge and holy ganga (Holy river). The Ashram is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful green mountains. There are 2 yoga studios, a dining area, a beautiful green garden and a rooftop garden. You can find shops, cafes, restaurants, ATMs, pharmacies and organic stores close to the Ashram. Rishikesh Yoga Teacher Training Center offers single and double rooms based on the student’s requirements. Every room has a private bathroom with a western toilet and a hot shower, balcony with mountain or garden view. The rooms for the yogis are well maintained and clean. They offer bed sheets, pillows, bath towels, toilet paper, blanket and welcome amenities upon arrival. Wi-Fi is included. Water and laundry services are also available.

Certifications

Upon completion of the yoga teacher training course, you will be awarded by 200 hours Yoga Alliance USA certificate. This program is registered with Yoga Alliance USA. Registration with Yoga Alliance provides a globally recognized credential. The dedicated and experienced panel of yoga teachers and masters, at Rishikesh Yogis Yogshala, have immense knowledge of vinyasa yoga flows, vinyasa yoga poses and different schools of yoga.The staff is highly cooperative and ensures to make your stay as convenient as possible.

Meditation

You are starting your day with morning mantra chanting continue with shat-kriya and finished with meditation.

In Teaching methodology you will learn the following:

Yoga Anatomy

Anatomy classes expose the internal working of the body, bones, inner systems, and respiration that effect asanas and the flow. Knowing the different types of joints and their range of motions helps our students to be safe from injuries and also keep their students safe.

Our Instructors

Swami Yog Kulwant Ji

Swami Yog Kulwant Ji is one of the founders of the Alakh Yog School. At a very young age, he left his home to seek inner bliss. He studied under many masters, who taught and encouraged him to meditate and complete his studies. Being a seeker, he went on to get a Ph.D. in philosophy.

After completing his education, he went deep into meditation and stayed in silence for many years. At present, he remains in silence for most of his time in the Upper Himalayas. He guides students and seekers in “Silent Retreats.” His love and compassion towards guiding students on their inner journey are unparalleled.

Hari Ji

Yoga Teacher Hari JiHari Krishan (Alakh) Ji envisioned opening up a yoga school that presents Yoga in its true essence combined with the traditional detoxification science of Naturopathy. After tasting success in business, he felt the emptiness and longed for inner bliss. One day he closed his business and decided to go on his inner journey. He would spend months in silence meditating. He developed breathing and meditation techniques, which helped him go deeper in his inner journey.

He is currently guiding his students with full awareness through the process of learning Dharana (concentration) and Dhyan (meditation). He also teaches Emotional Blockage and Sufi Meditation classes.

Dr. Shri Yogi Chandrakant

Dr. Shri Yogi Chandrakant is one of the lead yoga teachers at Alakh Yoga. He was born in a Brahmin family in an ancient village named Haripurkalan which is situated at the confluence of the seven Ganges.

His father taught Yogi ChandraKant Vedic Mantra & Trantra Yoga. After completing school, he decided to explore India seeking spirituality. Yoga has helped him go deeper into his inner journey and unravel some mysteries of life. His father was his Guru-figure and a source of inspiration. Yogi ChandraKant started exercising mysterious practices of Tantra- Mantra. At the insistence of his peers, he became a tantric healer and began sharing his gift of healing to heal others. He also started leading yogic camps, workshops, healings and soon became a renowned name amongst seekers.

Girish Ji

One would rarely come across someone as humble and pleasant as Girish Ji. He has a degree in Computer science and worked at Infosys (a leading Indian IT company) for about three years, but left all of it in his search for truth.

He did Sadhana (meditation) in many places such as South India, Nepal, and Manali. He has a degree of N.D.(Doctor of Naturopathy) and Y.D.(Doctor of Yoga). He has also taught Anatomy and Physiology for over five years at Alakh Yog and many other schools in Rishikesh.

Vijay Ji

He teaches Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Pranayama, Alignment, Mantra chanting and Yogic Kriya (Cleansing). Vijay Ji has trained many teachers in several well-known Rishikesh Yoga schools. He is very well grounded in his self-practice.

Varsha

Varsha has a B.Ed. (Yoga) from Punjab University, Chandigarh, an M.A. in yoga from Uttarakhand open university, and a P.G Diploma in Guidance and counseling from Annamalai University Chidambaram. She is a Certified Yoga Alliance U.S.A. yoga teacher. For the past five years, she has been taking classes in Chandigarh, Bhopal, and Rishikesh.
Her specialization is in the Yogic art of Pranayama and Meditation. She is a spiritual seeker and yoga is her passion not mere a profession. She is always open to explore and learn new things in life which helps her in her internal and external growth.

Yog Acharya Jagjeet

Yoga Teacher JagjeetYog Acharya Jagjeet is a Sadhu by nature. He is from a family where Yog and sadhna are in their blood. He practiced Yog and Asanas with the well known Acharya Shri Karamveer Ji for ten years. Even after acquiring skills in yogic therapies and doing meditation in the mountains, he had an urge to go deeper, to gain more awareness of Yog therapies.

Yogi Jagjeet learned different therapies which include: Yog, marma chikitsa, food therapy, pranic healing and other alternative therapies. After finishing school, Yogi Jagjeet decided to meditate in the Himalayas, all by himself, for several years. Along with his journey, he came across ancient yogis and sadhus of the Himalayas who taught him various meditation techniques.

Yogi Manoj Rawat

Born in the holy city of Rishikesh, which is recognized as the ancient seat of yoga practice in India, the vibes have always been strong around Manoj. Yoga Teacher Manoj RawatManoj has been passionate about Yoga since early childhood. His grandfather introduced him to the world of yoga. He guided him to the path of karma yoga. Later on in his life, Manoj explored Bhakti and Karma Yoga in depth. He spent his learning time in various Ashrams, living the hermit way of life with communities of Swamis and Yogis. Today, Yogi Manoj is a teacher certified by the prestigious Bihar School of Yoga.

This yoga teacher training is vegetarian-friendly.

Food

Daily freshly made vegetarian meals are included in the price. The food is fully prepared hygienically and the vegetable is organic. What we eat, not only influences our physical well being, but also our emotions and thoughts. Cooked food that is consumed within 3-4 hours can be considered sattvic. Hygiene practices at our institution to ensure the food is safe and carries great nutritional values which is much needed for healthy life.

This teacher training course will be held in Dhyan Mandir Ashram Rishikesh, India.

Rishikesh is a very safe place for tourists and locals alike. Locals are used to foreigners and things, such as communication, are a lot easier here than other parts of India. Just practice your usual safety precautions and always keep track of your belongings.

If you are a first time visitor to India, you may experience culture shock from just how different India is from other parts of the world. Be aware that it may be very emotionally overwhelming. upon arriving in India, especially if you are beginning your journey in a big city like Delhi. Just know that Rishikesh is a very peaceful and relaxed place in India compared to larger cities.

 

How to get here:

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), from where you can take a domestic flight to Jolly Grant Airport Dehradun (DED). Upon your arrival, we have a complimentary taxi waiting for you, which will bring you from Dehradun airport to our yoga school at Laxman Jhula.

Arrival by bus

From the Delhi airport, you can get a taxi to bring you to Delhi ISBT bus station. From there you can find many government and private transportation to bring you to Rishikesh. Once you arrive at Rishikesh bus station, your complimentary pick up will be waiting for you to bring you to our yoga school at Laxman Jhula.

Arrival by train

The nearest railway station is Haridwar train station. From there you will find many buses, taxis and other transportation services that will bring you to Rishikesh. If you want Rishikesh Yoga Teacher Training Center to help you arrange transportation from Haridwar, kindly let them know.

Cancellation Policy

A reservation requires a deposit of 25% of the total price. The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled. The rest of the payment must be paid before departure.
